Datalogic's Scan Modules are fully functional barcode scanning products, including an enclosure and standard host cables (RS-232 or USB). They are integrated into customer products that need to have barcode scanning capability. Because they are fully enclosed, they are much simpler to integrate and to mount, even though they are a bit larger. Many customers prefer Scan Modules because of this simplicity.
