Meet the Zebra® Iris GTX, the latest generation of intelligent cameras developed by Aurora Imaging. These cameras feature significantly faster, high-resolution sensors and enhanced processing power compared to earlier models, offering top-tier performance in a sleek, all-in-one vision system. Combined with flowchart-based Aurora Design Assistant® software (previously Matrox Design Assistant), it allows quick and easy configuration and deployment of machine vision applications directly to the Zebra Iris GTX. This versatile software handles video capture, full analysis, precise classification, localization, measurement, reading tasks, verification, communication, and I/O processes, all within a unified interface. Designed as edge IoT devices, Zebra Iris GTX smart cameras handle data acquisition and processing close to the point of need, providing prompt insights and actions. The Intel® Atom® x6000 series embedded processor supports faster, higher-resolution sensors, pushing the performance boundaries of the Zebra Iris GTX. This efficient processor allows these smart cameras to manage both conventional and deep learning machine vision workloads. Real-time digital I/Os make direct connections to automation equipment straightforward. They also come with GigE and USB ports and VGA video output, enabling complete integration into automation systems.

Built for tough environments, the Zebra Iris GTX maintains a small footprint similar to its predecessor but with an IP67-rated housing and rugged M12 connectors for external interfaces. This design ensures reliable operation in dusty, wet, or otherwise harsh conditions. These cameras are compatible with standard C-mount lenses, featuring a protective cap to guard against dust and liquids and equipped with an interface for Corning® Varioptic® C-C-Series auto-focus lenses adjustable through on-device software. Additionally, the device's software allows direct adjustments to LED lighting intensity, which is compatible with Advanced Illumination Inline Control Systems and Smart Vision Lights, eliminating manual intervention for hard-to-reach installations.
Fast and Efficient Operations
The real-time digital I/Os of Zebra Iris GTX smart cameras ensure direct interface with automation devices, managed by dedicated hardware engines for precise timing. These engines facilitate highly accurate output events triggered by specific input or elapsed times. Zebra Iris GTX cameras support hardware-assisted PROFINET communication, guaranteeing prompt responses even under demanding automation conditions.
